Curacao Trip Details
Curacao is located in the Southern Caribbean and is famous for its rich underwater world. Above water, it is also breathtakingly lovely.
Curacao is the largest of the ABC island group. It sits 35 miles North of Venezuela and is wedged between Aruba and Bonaire. The ABC
islands are part of the Netherlands Antilles where more than 40 languages are spoken. The average year-round high is at 82 degrees Farenheight.
The best advantage about diving these islands is they lie below the hurricane belt. This is not to say hurricanes don't happen here, but they
are far less likely to make landfall.

you of the best possible rates we can find for this trip.
Accommodations
Lions Dive & Beach Resort, located directly at the National Curacao Underwater Park, has its own private beach with plenty of palm
trees, lounge beach chairs and beds, beach huts and sunshades. Lions Dive's private beach connects to Curacao's largest white sand beach named
Sea Aquarium Beach (popular Mambo Beach), with several beach shops, bars and restaurants on walking distance.
At the pool in the center of the resort you will find restaurant Nemo and on the beach they have the beach bar – restaurant Hemingway.
The moment you arrive at Lions Dive & Beach Resort you will feel the "bare foot elegance".
Lions Dive & Beach Resort is well aware of the fact that tourism can only survive in a world where good care is being taken of their
natural environment! Lions Dive & Beach Resort is a nature-oriented accommodation that strives to maintain the highest possible environmental
standards. Saving water, saving energy, monitoring waste and waste water and bringing nature to your hotel rooms' doorstep.
Lions Dive & Beach Resort has been built in a typical Dutch Caribbean style with 2 and 3 floors surrounded by a tropical garden. All
rooms have a private bathroom with shower or bath, balcony or terrace, air conditioning, ceiling fan, shutters, 2 double beds or 1 king-size bed,
cooler, safety deposit box, cable color television, direct dial telephone and Internet access. All electrical outlets are 220 Volt/50 cycles.
Diving
Ocean Encounters' "One Stop Dive Shop" philosophy allows divers the opportunity to dive the entire island. Experiences like
Mushroom Forest, Klein Curacao, Superior Producer and Tugboat are available right outside your hotel door. Just off the Lions Dive beach is
the famous Stella Maris reef. It's a beautiful shore dive that is home to a missing shipwreck found by Ocean Encounters' Technical Exploration
Team.
The dive boats are spacious and include all the safety equipment required for an enjoyable excursion. There are rinse tanks for masks and
cameras and one Divemaster for every ten divers. The Divemasters are experts in the marine wildlife in the area. They will make sure you don't
miss any seahorses, frogfish, turtles, green morays, or anything else that moves under the water.
