Membership Information
FINZ Dallas Dive Group is open to certified or uncertified divers, family and friends (18 years or older). We welcome
those who are new to diving and those who are diving veterans. We exist to provide a support group to help encourage the
sport of diving. Diving is a sport that requires a buddy and sometimes this can be hard to find. In our group, you will be
surrounded by divers and activities that promote diving. We do not give scuba instruction, nor certify divers. We can
direct interested persons to a qualified instructor and dive shop. Dive insurance in the Divers Alert Network
is not required, but is highly encouraged. Membership will begin upon receipt of membership dues and application and
will end one year from the date of receipt.
Membership Benefits
Each member of the FINZ Dallas Dive Group has full membership rights and priviledges as specified in the FINZ Bylaws.
These include the right to be informed of and invited to every meeting and activity conducted by and for the FINZ Dallas Dive Group members and
the right to vote on any issue put to a vote by the FINZ Dallas Dive Group membership. They also include the priviledge of being eligible for any
elected office or appointed position open to FINZ members, except as may be specifically limited by the FINZ Bylaws.
Along with your paid membership, current members are eligible for the following benefits:
- Complimentary FINZ logo item.
(This item is at the discretion of the current FINZ officers in office.)
- Discount pricing on sponsored FINZ trips.
- Discount offered by various local SCUBA shops.
- Free admittance to designated membership parties and activities.
Membership Dues
You can join FINZ by completing a membership application.
Bring the completed application with you to our monthly meeting or mail it to the person identified on the application.
- New members:$40.00
- Renewing members:$30.00
Members can add a spouse or family member to their membership at the cost of an additional $5.00 for each addition. These individuals
must meet the eligibility requirements of 18 years or older.
