Our best event of the year is always the most fun. We look forward to having a chance to visit with
all our friends that we've made throughout the year. Margaux's was a fantastic location with the most scrumptous food. Fun,
food, games and lots of prizes were available to all that attended.

Our adventure started on the patio at Los Lupes watching
others come in as we guessed who was in each costume and wondered if we knew the person
under the costume. Once all of our party arrived, off we went to various North
Dallas locations. We ended our party at Cape Buffalo where we enjoyed looking at others
in costume. This was a great evening for all!

FINZ members head to New Braunsfel to help clean up the Comal River. FINZ entered two teams
in the even this year. Turns out, the river was pretty clean but there was plenty of trash elsewhere on the river.
This led to a day of canoeing, a tube float down the river, and fun times at the annual BBQ.

Our End of Summer Bash took place on the patio of Jake's Hamburgers in Addison. It was a nice
day to hang out for one last lazy day waiting for the summer to come to an end. Stories were shared and prizes were
given for the top 3 stories. Jim Gillean was the only entry of the photo contest and walked away with the best photo
award. Check out our photos.
It was a fun-filled afternoon as FINZ members and friends watch the Giants take a big win
over the Patriots. After Patriots regained the lead with two minutes and 22 seconds to go in the game. Giants
take over the ball. Manning scrambles by eluding three sacks, then passes to Rookie David Tyrene! Giants gain 45 yards!

The new Texas Dive Show took place on the weekend of January 26-27 in Houston. Organized by the staff of Dive Chronicles magazine, the new
scuba diving consumer tradeshow was held at the J.W. Marriott Hotel across from the Galleria shopping center on Westheimer Road. The show featured over 70
exhibitors in the hotel's convention center, plus a series of high-caliber seminar presentations from some of the industry's legendary divers.

FINZ members and newcomers bravely participated in our first ever Chili Cook-Off. Congratulations goes out to our prize winners
and a BIG thanks to our Host, Bennett Cowper. The party was a huge success and we're looking forward to a bigger contest next year! Buzzard Breath entry
received honors for Best Chili Name, Sam Thomas covets the UGLY Hat award, and Fran Melancon won overall First Prize for her Heart Healthy entry! This is
sure to be an annual event. Loads of fun and social time with plenty of Bennett's special punch to keep us warm.
